A Chilly Winter Challenge At Dilly Beans.

This week over at Dilly Beans Challenge Blog we have a Winter Challenge up for you. So grab those winter images and get busy. You have a chance to win some Dilly Beans Images.
For my card today I used Megan's image #517 Let It Snowmen Framed. I colored the image with Shimmering H2O's and Copics that I printed on some wonderful linen texture paper. The whole thing has a great iridescent look to it. The background paper is one I had made a few months back using crumpled wax paper ironed on the surface of a piece of watercolor paper. I then used Several different techniques to color the paper and stamped a background image with gesso and sprayed a lot of Perfect Pearls and Tattered Angles Mist all over.
You can see the texture of the linen paper better here.
The inside of the card looks very nice too.
So head over to the Dilly Beans Designer and Challenge blog for a look see at what the Design Team has to share with you this week. Have a fun weekend and Happy New Years.

New Challenge At Bugaboo

The New Challenge over at Bugaboo this week is to use borders. I had such a hard time deciding which borders to use from this set of Martha Stewart Christmas papers and borders from last year. It would be so easy to go overboard.
I used the Theodore-Christmas Present for this card. Three Borders and some cool ribbon and a great SVG Cut. I colored the bear with Copics and added Stickles to the trim and Glossy Accents to the boots and ladybug.
 A Close up for you.
 And inside, another border.
Now head on over to the Bugaboo Challenge Blog and see what is new with the Design Team.
I hope you all have a great weekend.

An Ornament Challenge At Dilly Beans

With Christmas just a few days away this is a great Challenge for you. Make an ornament. Pretty easy hu? So if you head over to the Dilly Beans Designer and Challenge Blog you will find some great examples by the Design Team.
I used Megan"s Image # 276 Disturbed Snowman. I colored him with Copics first and then I put a piece of double side tape over the image and covered the whole thing with extra fine glitter. I colored over the red and orange with Copics again and traced the black so it would stand out better.
The rosette that I made is from an SVG File from A Little Hut. She has some great cutting files. I only recently discovered her shop so you will be seeing more thing from her shop coming soon.
You can see the detail more on the white background I think.
I hope you all have a great weekend and be careful out there if your planning on shopping this weekend. It's a little crazy.

Friday Freebie At Bugaboo

Well it is the Friday before Christmas and I hope you all have all your shopping done so you don't have to fight the crowds this weekend. Unless you are one of those that enjoy that sort of thing. I have to try to finish today. We shall see. One of the great things about today is that it is Friday freebie over at Bugaboo. And Jodie has one more Christmas image for us to play with. Look at this adorable little mouse.
For my card I used a paper stack by Recollections and colored the image with Copics. A very quick and fun card to make.
I used Stickles on the white top of the stocking and Glossy Glaze on the nose.
So head on over to the Bugaboo Challenge Blog to see what all the Design Team has to share today and then head to the Bugaboo store to pick up your Freebie for the week.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Too Far Behind

I'm getting too far behind on my Christmas Book posts and Advent Calendar so I'm going to fix that. Since I can't add more hours to the day I will just streamline the past few days. If you want to go back a little and see Day 5 click Here. Editing the photos are what is hanging me up.
So for DAY 6 of the Book.
I love the pocket because you can add as many Tags as you like.
The tags come from the Simple Stories 25 Days Of Christmas from last year.
Now for the Advent Calendar for Day 6. Sorry this is a little blurry. I just couldn't hold still enough and I finally gave up.
This is better. Love those stickers. I think they are K&Co.

Day 7 of the Christmas Book. That was Friday and I had Claudette and KayLynn over for a visit and it was Miss KayLynn's Eighth Birthday Party with Nana and Grandpa. The girls helped with Decorations too.
The Book Page: I had made this ahead of time but now I think that I may change the Photo Frame into and accordion book so I can add all the photos from my decorating my Studio table for Christmas.
Here is a little preview. I'll share more details when I get all the photos edited.

And the Advent Calendar for Day 7:
These 3D stickers are from a line that Wall Mart had last year and I bought all the different sets. I'm so glad I did because they do not have them yet this year. You will see more in the coming days.

Day 8 of the Christmas Book. I so love My Minds Eye papers. I'm not sure what will be on this page when I get to the photos. What I did do today was play catch up and rest.  Below you will find what I made. And I did get the lights up outside. It took all of 15 minutes.
 A close-up.
Day 8 of the Advent Calendar: I didn't even try to get a good shot of this on the ribbon. Too blurry again today.
So one of the things I did Finish on the Eighth Day of Christmas......
I have made several of these frames now and I will make more. They are so cool. They are made using a large acrylic Snowflake from the Dollar Store or the 99Cent Store, some layered paper snowflakes.
Cut the word from Sizzix die from last year.
I made the easel back from foam core from Dollar Tree and covered it with paper and colored the white core with Copics to match.
So there is a very long post but I am happy to be caught up with sharing the pages and Advent calendar. today is another day. Check back tomorrow to see page 9 of the Christmas book and the Advent Calender.

On The Ninth Day Of Gift Giving

We have been sharing Gift ideas over on the Bugaboo Challenge Blog all week. I hope you all have been following along You even have a chance to win some Bugaboo Images. Go HERE for the details.
For my projects today I made a great stationary set for my grandson, you can adapt for anyone) and some Gift Card Holders.
The Stationary was made using Jodie's  Make It Snappy/Frame It Collection. There is something for everybody in this section. The cards are a standard A2 size and I made the box with inserts to separate the crayons, stamps and cards. This first shot shows the dividers really well.
Here is a good shot of the lid and the inside of the box.
 A close-up.
And here are the six different cards I made for him to color.
And since I added stamps I'm hopeing to get that Thank You Card Back.

The next project is a set of Gift  Card Holders featuring Jodie's Snow globe Collection
Here is the set.
I used Copics to color all the images and I put a coating of JudiKins DG3 Art Gel over the globe part.
The top piece is cut from glitter paper and the section with the words is covered with double side tape and then coated with ultra fine glitter.
The shine made it difficult to photograph.
 Happy sparkly snow marshmallows.
The inside of the card with a pocket for the gift card of your choice.
I hope this helps to give you some ideas for some hand made gifts this year.
Have a wonderful weekend all.
